What does it mean to have low empathy?

i recently took a simon baron-cohen empathy quotient test. i scored a 27 on the test. 80 was the maxium.the scoring chart said:
0 - 32 = low (most people with Asperger Syndrome or high-functioning autism score about 20)
33 - 52 = average (most women score about 47 and most men score about 42)
53 - 63 is above average
64 - 80 is very high
80 is maximum
i scored a 27 in the 0-32 range which is low, but i know i DO NOT have aspergers or any type of autism. my only problem is i don't know exactly what empathy means. i answered all the questions on the quiz (60 questions) truthfully. i looked up the word empathy in the dictionary but i didn't understand it. and i want to know if its bad to have low empathy and if im a bad person.

Empathy is your ability to understand others and to care for them. It is how well you can relate to other people. It is important in society where we rely so heavily on others but you are not a bad person or anything if you have trouble relating to others.

Most people think that having low empathy is bad because they equate it with being a psychopath. However, there are a number of possible reasons your score was so low. If you are really young, you may not have developed a high level of empathy yet. It could be related to past experiences. It could even be that low simply because you were having a bad day and just didn't care about other people on that day.

I really wouldn't worry about it. As long as you feel that you relate well with others, the numbers from this test shouldn't bother you.

Empathy is being compassionate to other individuals (or animals) and there problems and the way things are for them the reason the bottom raitings cominly folks with aspergers is considering that they battle to recognize how matters are for other individuals like they could say some thing for example about any one's weight and now not understand it had offended that man or woman or now not realise how it would offend that person but individuals who simply have low phases of empathy that do not need anything like aspergers are people who are particularly self centred and mainly care less or feel much less about other folks and helping them and so forth

well low empathy means the if u see soemone crying because something bad happen to the person and you just dont really feel sorry for them or even care the much about it..
