I would think that that would depend on what you want to do with your degree once you get it. My brother who's a psychologist did his dissertation on the bond that should develop between mother and child. I would do mine on does learning disabilities run in the family and if so why. But these are the things that interest us and the fields that we had an interest in even before going to school. If you have a particular field that you want to go into than pursue that as a path for your paper.

See if you can get coopertation from the school district and find out if violent video games, compared to non violent games effet behavior. after 4 weeks, reverse the groups and see what happens.

I have two different kinds of ideas:



(1) , You could do something about how different personality types react to different kinds of music. This would involve selecting music by genre and possibly giving people a personality test like the Myers Briggs Type Indicator or the Kiersey Bates Temperament Sorter or the Kiersey Character Sorter.



Basically speaking, you will be involving personality theory with the concepts involved in music therapy.



(2) You could test the correlation between scores on the Beck Depression Indicator and the temperaments using the Kiersey Character Sorter: [Temperament types (SJ/Guardian, NT/Rational, SP/Artisan, NF/Idealist)]. You may find that there is a high correlation between the "Guardian" temperament and depression].
