I failed at this psyche testing (putting together two colored cubes)--what does it mean?

I requested psyche testing from my counselor because I failed at two jobs, miserably, with the last job only lasting a month. I kept asking the same questions, asking questions I should know given I've been in this field for 15 years, was exceptionally nervous, was poor at time management and scattered. That is why I requested these tests. They're supposed to show what is going on with me, like if I have ADHD, and other things, too. They had me put together red & white blocks, putting them together like what is in a written diagram of them. I couldn't match the color and scheme of the blocks at all, except in the first two easy ones. What do you think this proves? It appears I did fine in the other tests, which were tests of defintions of words and telling what is the similarity in two words. Also, what do you think is wrong w/me, besides ADHD? Why am I such a terrible worker? I'm 46 years old, by the way. I have to take part two of the test next week. My doctor won't tell me the results til then. Thx.

You might need a change of field.



I have been in my present job 21 years and at times I cannot remember stuff that should be at the top of my head or some things I should see more or less automatically do not occur to me. If it had not been for the fact that I'm getting close to retiring age, I might have changed jobs several years ago.



As for the blocks, I would not worry too much about that. It is very generally true that women are not as good at that sort of thing as men are. Not everyone, but on average.

This sub-test measures visuo-spatial processing which is part of the performance IQ part of the test. Relax because there are other subtests like the one where you had to find the part of the picture that was missing plus all of the Verbal IQ subtests. You may just have difficulty with nonverbal or spatial reasoning... no big deal.

You might just be really nervous that time..



Try to relax a lot when your near to psyche testing....



And it also may be because you've got a lot of things to think too.
