Out of the blue last night I received a text message that said quote:

"Welcome to Porntube mobile! Thank you for signing up for our lifetime membership of porn videos. You will be billed 8.99 + tax per month. Refunds only valid in Canada. Go to m.porntube.com to log into your account on your mobile device!" - from phone number 14409871074.

I never signed up for this, and I don't ever remember even giving my phone number out over the internet. Most likely some a**hole signed me up for this as a prank. Problem is, I'm in college and my parents are still paying my phone bill and they will see this pop up on the monthly bill if I don't take care of it. What can I do? The text doesn't tell me how to unsubscribe from this bullsh**.

Thanks

It probably is a prank. I would call the number or even look the number up online. A lot of the time the number will be registered and a forum with a bunch of people mad at some random number calling or texting them. Do some research on the Internet and find out if the website is even real. Good luck!

Go on the site and maybe their will be a phone number you can contact. Also I'm pretty sure if you tell your parents the situation they will understand. Most likely your friend is being an *** or someone just used a random number and it happened to be you.

it's spam - likely. After looking at the website (research only) their plans are a lot more. The number shows up from around Wellington, Ohio. It is mostly like the "I have x million for you email". and after further research they don't have a lifetime membership.

go online and see about deleting it plus im sure your parents might understand if you tell them before they get the bill that it was just an add through text. you can explain it like its the same as an advertisement through email and that you dont know how to delete it :D
