My 13 year old daughter cares about her 23 year old brother better than anyone else.Ever since she was just a toddler she has favored him.Is that normal? I do love that they are close and get along and don't fight.They are like best friends always joking around.Every time I send him to the store she wants to go and ride with him.I think it's sweet, how she looks up to him.What kind of me is he smokes,cusses,is in need of a haircut,and he still lives with us because dropped out of high school his senior year.I know she knows right from wrong so that doesn't worry me as bad as how I feel like she doesn't really care about anyone else i've always felt like that.When I had her younger brother when she was 3 and my son was 13 they had to stay at my mom and dad's who live out in the country,so they could go outside and just run around and when I brought her younger brother back she seemed more happy that she got to run around with her older brother.When I mention her inviting a friend from school over she says no because she doesn't feel like she has any friends,because she doesn't talk to them because she is shy and she always has been very shy.She doesn't tell anyone one that she loves them but her older brother. I have asked her why and she says she doesn't really feel comfortable telling anyone else or giving hugs to anyone else.Every night her entire life ever since she was old enough to she has give him a hug and a kiss on the cheek and told him that she loved him every night.She hasn't done that with me or her dad or other siblings since she was 7.I'm 100% sure it's nothing sexual, she doesn't have a crush on him.I'm happy they have a bond like that but I worry.Is this weird or good?
My question is Why is she like that?
I'm saying I NEVER got along with my sister at all, and none of my friends did.
