You need to think of any life experience you have had which can be applied to the particular job you are seeking. If you really have absolutely no experience in any way, then you have to be honest and tell them that but that you are very interested in learning the job.

Interviewers have all been in the other chair at times in their lives. They know all about struggling with tough questions like that. And they know that young people starting out have NOT yet been the chairman of General Motors. What they value is honesty and a sense that this person can be trained, will work hard, and is sensible. So show that.

Focus on what you're supposed to DO with the job, you might not have the theoretical-knowledge, but what do you DO, that makes you right for this job?
