Question:
Is something wrong with me? I HATE reality?

I absolutely hate reality, I hate how people can never achieve what they want, I hate how everything has become over complcated, I hate how everything is a big struggle, I hate how the world has lost it's magic. More than anything I wish we lived in a fantasy world, I am so tired of the way things are now, there's no excitment anymore, everything is so boring.

I can never pay attention, I'm always day dreaming about being in a world where there's still some excitement and adventure, I make up various scinarios (SP?) of me in different worlds. I can sit and do nothing but imagine for hours and not be bored.

Is there something wrong with me?, why cant I just accept that fantasy, and adventure no longer exists and is only found in books, and movies?

I thought that I am the only one, I wish if we can live in anime world, in a fantasy world. I really hate reality. Instead if I get bored I keep imagining or write a story.

you are not alone .. there are actually people like us (although perhaps not a majority in this world/society, obviously.. ).

I've found that people who likes this "reality" and don't really like fantasies nor fictions (which are -again- in Majority on this planet) are usually lacking creativity & imaginations.

So don't bother too much with them.

J.K Rowling in her Harry Potter series even gave those kind of people its own term: "The Muggles".

so again, first thing you need to know is that you are *not* alone.

and then, you can search even deeper & deeper, and then even find new friends with same/similar traits, and/or somewhere you belong..

google these for starter: Maladaptive Daydreamers (like the Best Answer suggested/already know) , Indigo , Starseeds , Lucid Dream

good luck~

There's nothing wrong with you, because we all know that sometimes fantasy is better than reality, when you think about living in a place where there is still adventure. So if you feel as if there is no adventure in reality, you could always try creating your own adventure, open up new opportunities for yourself maybe try a new career industry or hanging out with different friends, do things that you wouldn't usually do, maybe try out different foods, it all really depends on what you want to do but in my opinion everyone should have their own adventures. So good luck :) and I hope that you feel better.

There is nothing wrong with you.

More and more people feel this way.

The good news is, you do not have to escape to any dreamworld, rather we have to wake up, as we live in an illusion right now.

What we need to do is to find the true reality.

This whole illusion is the result of a great breakage, the break of connections in between people.

We are all sitting inside our own selfish bubbles feeling sorry for ourselves.

If we stepped out of this bubble, and started connecting to others through unconditional love and giving we could start sensing the real world, the total picture which is surrounding us right now.

It is not an easy task as our all powerful ego wants to keep us in our bubbles, but together, if we really want to break free and start living in true reality we can do it.

I hope it helps, all the best.

No you arn't alone and I don't think there's anything wrong with you. Your not the average person I guess but you don't have anything wrong. There are others like you, they are just scattered across the world and so its not likely you'll have many people who underatand/relate that surround you in your life. I think this just means that you

1: have a very strong imagination and are very creative

2:have probably read about fantasy worlds and watched movies and shows about them your whole life and so they set your expectations VERY high in life. Or at least that's the case for me.

I suggest you try and seek out little things in the world that are like an escape into a fantasy world. I ended up falling in love with someone who to me, is an escape from this boring, plain, and sad reality.

It'll always be hard, but try traveling, creating your own adventures, go into career that involves being creative, and do everything you can to enjoy life and escape reality.

There is nothing good in reality, just that we cannot deny it so we're stuck with it.

Wow, you should be a science fiction or fantasy writer. For real. You can make good money from your thoughts... See how Stephenie Meyer rose from practically nothing to becoming one of the richest authors in the world..you're lucky, I can't imagine nuttin.

Are you kidding me. Life is an adventure if you make it that way. Risk taking is adventure, going places no man or woman has gone before is adventure, following your spontaneous nature will take some of that boredom you have away. Apply your imagination to reality, and you will be amazed at how fantastic reality is, and how powerful you are.

i am not even joking. Life is not going to just become amazing for you, you make your life whatever it is. If your life is boring, that is your own doing. Life is fantastic, so to speak. Well, for other people it is anyway, and for you it can be too.
