I've been having a recurring nightmare for about 2 weeks. Its affecting my sleep and I can't figure out the meaning. Basically I'm sitting in my college clas when a VA tech situation starts to happen. Everyone starts screaming at me to do something or to stop him. I leave to try to stop him. I get into fist fight with him and stop him but I lose both my legs then I wake up. This dream is very vivid. What's the meaning?

To dream that you are in a fight, indicates inner turmoil. Some aspect of yourself is in conflict with another aspect of yourself. Perhaps an unresolved or unacknowledged part is fighting for its right to be heard. It may also parallel a fight or struggle that you are going through in your waking life. If you are fighting to the death, then it refers to your refusal to acknowledge some waking conflict or inner turmoil. You are unwilling to change your old attitudes and habits.

To see others fighting in your dream, suggests that you are unwilling to acknowledge your own problems and turmoil. You are not taking any responsibility or initiative in trying to resolve issues in your waking life.

It kinda sounds like there's an area of your life where you feel the need to help everyone, or maybe the pressure to be everyone's "hero". However, the fact that your legs fall off sort of suggests that you fear you've failed them (the people you want to help), or you've lost your control. Most fears and nightmares derive from the basic fear of losing control.

Dreams can mean a lot of things, and I don't know anything about your life so that makes it more difficult to draw parallels between your reality and subconscious... but based on what you said this is how I interpret it!

Hope this helps!

based on a book i read, it most likely means that there is someone in your life who scares you, or has hurt you in the past and you arent able to stop dreaming about it because your subconscious mind remembers. Sometimes even a dream like that can be caused by somehting as simple as stress, or fierce competition.

did not examine the entire factor. yet desires are desires. Nightmares are nightmares. while you're paranoid which you're boyfriend is cheating on you, and those thoughts are occupying your thoughts remarkable earlier you doze off, this is possibly the rationalization why your desires are taking place like this.

Sometimes people just dream about the same thing repeatedly for awhile. What did you eat before bed? Do you study before bed? or Are your legs sore or tired before bed? Any of these could cause it.
