Remember, it's only a film.

The devil does not exist and remember God is always with you and protecting you so please don't worry :)

I'd never watch that film cos i'm exactly the same as you.

I don't believe in the devil.

I used to be scared of going to bed cos i thought that someone was there but i gotta remember i'm only imagining it.

Good luck :)

Ok imagine that your brain is a sponge and whatever you watch (scary movies, the news etc) your brain will absorb the images. Well, then it's up to you to filter what you watch and think about. We all have scary thoughts! Just think about it the people who wrote and directed the scary movies had those scary thoughts first, then put them into a movie and then you watch their scary thoughts. I suggest you spend more time watching pleasant movies. That will alleviate some of the scary thoughts.

First ask your parents for a night light if you don't already have one, even if you do it doesn't hurt to get another and see if that helps out. Try reading a few pages of your favorite book as that will focus your mind on something pleasant and non threatening to you. If you have a kitty cat they make excellant bed company or a dog works too if your parents would allow it! But worry not you will likely grow out of it, I did many many mannnnny years ago!

I don't know what has incited your fear but regardless, it appears that you may be having difficulty with an anxiety disorder. That doesn't mean that the things you are afraid of aren't real, it just means that you react to them differently. I would contact a physician to see if they can prescribe ativan or lorazepam, both of those would likely work so you get some good rest. And remember that you are always under His protection, and that He will watch over you when no one else is there to.

Tv, radio, even a book to take your mind in a different direction, can help immediately. But if you want it to stop completely, you need to stop feeding these things into your mind. For me, I had to completely stop watching horror movies, even violent action ones. Even now, at 32, I rarely watch a scary movie, but when I do, I watch through a blanket. My husband laughs at me! But I found I can watch them as long as I don't see the scary images. I can NEVER see one in the theater. I was having terrible nightmares and that was the only way I found to stop them. I would pray before I went to sleep, asking God to help me think of nice things. Sometimes that helped.

Good luck! I personally don't believe in medicating everything. I don't agree with taking something to help you sleep. Your mind is a powerful thing. You just need to reprogram it.

Take care!

Repeat this prayer until you know it by heart, then repeat until the fear goes away it will, I had the same problem I was insanely freaked out for about a year and more because of that movie, I used to call my dad in the middle of the night even at 2 or 3 in the morning and he would say that prayer for me, it works, your heart will feel better in a few days, just keep repeating it even during the day, do it as often as you can, it's the only way it stoped for me, trust me I was freaked out really bad too

The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:

He leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul:

He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name' sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,

I will fear no evil: For thou art with me;

Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies;

Thou annointest my head with oil; My cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life,

and I will dwell in the House of the Lord forever.
