Do you find yourself wanted to swop queues or wishing you had gone in another queue?

Why is that? Why the do you have the need to go soooooo fast!

Well, I would if it happened. However, I always check the size of the queues and the number of manned checkout positions before I go into the supermarket, and if when I am ready to leave, some of the checkout positions have closed and queues have built up, I drop my items and leave the store.

Whilst I have all the time in the world for a fumbling pensioner (after all, we are all human) I do get extremely annoyed by the entire ridiculous system that requires US the shopper, to search through the warehouse to find the items that we want to buy, rather than the shopkeeper who put them on the shelves. All in all, the supermarket system makes us the slaves of a system that denies us service and easy, efficient shopping for just the items on our shopping list.

However, do not blame the dawdling pensioner, who might well have distant memories of shopkeepers who used to offer personal service to his customers, but to the greedy and shabby system of "self service and queue to pay" supermarkets that have been imposed on us.

I hate that it's a pet hate of mine, I get really impatient, tap my feet, sigh loudly, roll my eyes and even mutter "for f**k's sake" under my breath. If I were a checkout

girl I would refuse to serve someone like me. But they say if you're in a slow queue it will appear to you that the other queues move faster.

I can't bear it when I'm in a queue and the staff start chit-chatting, answering the phone, and generally doing anything possible other than SERVE. Makes me want to throw a loaf of bread at them. We spend about five years of our lives standing in queues watching people DITHER.

I get annoyed when I join a queue that looks shorter than another one next to it, but then the old woman in front of me gets confused and drops her card or tries to pay in cheques which they don't accept anymore. And then the queue next to me suddenly rushes past 5 or 6 people.

The most annoying thing ever: all your weekly shopping is on the way to pay and something happened with customer in front of me (they have to check price, offer, change something) First cashier has to put light on, second wait for a manager to came down, Third - send some one across the whole supermarket in a far corner to chase the second thing that is going free (or something like that)... And as soon as you think it is over - they have to take cash from the cashier and suddenly it is a break time for cashier too....

Think about it logically, if there is a queue either side of you, the odds of your queue being quickest is only 3-1.

Relax, you'll get served.

I hate it in shops when people run me over with push chairs. They are like mini cars, they are too big nowadays. I hate the things...they always get rammed into me! Nothing irritates me more than that! wyn355 - my brother used to move people's trollies when left in the middle of the shop blocking the aisle. Usually to the other side of the supermarket.

Pointless, cos the shortest queue will always end up with a delay anyway

human beings continually look in lots of a hurry at present (myself secure) there purely would not look sufficient hours interior the day. i comprehend this is complicated in case you're in a hurry and somebody in front seems to be taking a protracted time yet in specific circumstances this is intense high quality to be slightly laid back and characteristic a communicate with human beings - even no count number if it somewhat is barely small communicate. I wager in case you timed it, you possibly do not would desire to attend as long as you think of to be served. I did it interior the economic business enterprise as quickly as (timed how long i became into waiting it somewhat is) as quickly as I joined the tip of a protracted queue and that i became into greatly surprised at how short a time it actually took me to be served. i think of we are all slightly spoilt at present by Tesco's 'one in front' coverage and such issues - all of us anticipate to basically walk as much as a cashier and be served at once away. while i became right into a toddler, our community Tesco's basically had 2 cashiers and you will possibly usually have a queue of four, 5 or much extra trolleys in front of you and, have faith it or not, much less human beings complained approximately queueing in those days !

Yes especially if it's all the Cashiers fault! ie: if they're chatting or the till roll is stuck or something won't scan and even more so if it's the express checkout!!!

2) i'm rarely in a hurry to do anything

3) i leave irritation to other people - it amazes me how annoyed people get when shopping - get a life!
