Question:
Let me test your knowledge: Ever heard of these systems?

Do you remember the Sega CD? How about the Master System? Or what about the Virtual Boy? They all lived tragically short lives... For a few good reasons. But that doesn't matter. Let us pay homage to these flops for failing so that others may succeed.

Still own a Sega CD and SMS (and Sega 32X). Never owned the VB, but played it once (got a headache). Of course I've been gaming most of my 36 years, so that isn't so unique I suppose. I remember buying a Japanese adapter for my Sega Game Gear that let me play my old SMS games on the go.

Good times, good times.

I even played the Maganvox Odyssey at my Grandparent's house when I was a wee one. I also recall desperately wanting a Vectrex for christmas, but not receiving one (probably a good thing..bzzzzzzt).

Let's see: consoles & handhelds I've owned (and still own, albeit in storage):

2600

NES

SMS

Genesis/32X/CD

SNES

Gameboy (original/color/advance/SP)

Game Gear

PS1

Saturn

Dreamcast

PS2

N64

Gamecube

Still play:

Wii

XBox

XB360

DS (and DSLite)

...and that's not counting computers I've had. Still, my collection is far from complete as I've not been obsesive about it. I'd like to go back and get some of the systems I've missed, but can't find them at a suitable price in 2nd hand stores, garage sales, eBay, or Craigslist.

Thinking back, while I'm still nostyalgic and would not dream of parting with my collection, I've never enjoyed a system more than my 360.
