I grew up without a pot to p... in or a window to throw it out and I wouldn,t change a thing. I have worked hard for everything I ever had and it gave me so much more satisfaction knowing I earned it and it wasn,t given to me. I have known multi millionaires and none were happy. This one man owned numerous car dealerships and a chain of grocery stores and I worked as a bag boy in my teens at one of his stores. He said to me once. "Bobby, I would give everything I own to turn the clock back and watch my kids grow and see the things like their first steps and first word and spend some time with them. " He spent so much time away from them that when they got older he gave all of them a store or a dealership. All their marriages ended in divorce and one even killed his wife. This poor old man was just that. Poor. All the money in the world couldn,t by him happiness and he died at an early age of a heart attack. I was there to see all my kids take their first step and say their first words. I was blessed to be the richest man in the world just to hear my kids say"I love you daddy" every night I tucked them in. They were never ashamed to bring their friends by and we were known as their "cool" parents. I never saw a Brinks truck following a hearse. Everything is trmpory. Money, wealth, Us. I have enjoyed living the life I was intended to by being poor and have no regrets.

Work is a manmade concept, having to endure that for survival is not "living", a poor person that believes they lived a better life because they sold their soul to earn enough to live would only believe so due to ignorance, of sticking to a rule book that has no basis in a natural world. The rich person can enjoy simple pleasures without the obstacles of necessity to bind them. An unhappy rich person is one with a lot of money and no imagination, being wealthy can be a doorway to humanity but most see it as a doorway to even more material laden paths.... so it depends on the person ... I have never seen anyone that says money doesn't buy them happiness give it away ... do you ? I think poor people made up that saying to justify not being able to buy a way out of the suffering of modern society...

It's hard to say. Rich people can have hard lives in a mental capacity and poor people can have rich lives in a spiritual capacity.

It depends on if the rich decides to make the best of what is given to him/her, and the poor to have a positive attitude in his/her hardships.

definitively the latter. being a modest poor person is overrated and non-fulfilling. I'd honestly go the tesla route and use my money to try to bring energy to the entire earth for free. he got pretty close, but died poor.
