Why do people say that we should work smarter, not harder?

The smart people are doing well so they don't need to work as much as the stupid people

the biggest problem with stupid people is that they are stupid, meaning they must work harder than anyone else

the smart people say "you need to work smarter" to the stupid people

the stupid people work harder but can't figure out how to work smarter because they are stupid

the stupid people then fail because they didn't work smart enough

What now?
I'm a stupid person

Yes, it is true that hardworking people are usually less smart. It is also true that you have to work smarter in order to achieve things faster. Just work harder to achieve things if you can't find a way to work smarter. Life is unfair. Do not blame yourself for being not as smart as them because intelligence is inherited.

you don't need to be smart to work smart. just take a break and ask yourself, is there any way to do this faster? but if you can't come up with an answer even then, then you truly are stupid. Sorry.

we can all be stupid at times even really smart folk.

the idea is to achieve more with less effort.

eg : become an MP and get more money, free holidays. no physical labour etc.

Have you ever had to deal with a mass of stupid people. They put all their stupid efforts into doing stupid things and believe that a great number of stupidos means power. They congratulate themselves and united in their gross stupidity, they soldier on regardless doing stupid things and screaming power, power, we have power...!

Power of the blinded herd of stupid sheep....!

That's not for mental (school) work, it's for actual work. They are saying that you should use a smart approach to work, rather than brute force.
