Id works based on 'Pleasure Principle'. When it wants something, it wants them without caring how it's gonna gte it.

Ego works on 'Reality Principle'. Where it analyzes the reality to tell the Id whether it is able to get what Id wants.

Superego works on norms, religious teachings, customs and what is good or bad. Superego will tell Id whether what it wants it good or bad.

The Id, is completely selfish and demands instant gratification. It is not at all connected with the ego else there would be chaos and hence has no comprehension of reality. It is innate which means every 1 is born with it. It is unconscious and its desires are satisfied via fantasy . It is said to be present from birth.

The Ego, develops around 2 yrs. It's responsibility is to focus on reality. It's the divider BTW.. the id and the superego. The ego is wat we call our conscience. Here we are fully aware of the world, that is consequences. The ego tries its best to satisfy both the id and the superego.

The superego is a moralist. It develops around 5 yrs old. It is comprised of 2 parts. The ego ideal and the conscience. The ego ideal rewards the person if they match with it. The conscience punishes the ego from deviating from the moral path. The superego is partly conscious.
