Question:
How to stop loudly venting/swearing at work?

I work in an office in a professional services firm.  I get stressed, and unfortunately I have the same personality trait that my mother and grandfather had: we snap when we're stressed.  For example, today (Sunday) I came into the office to get work done but the IT system was down, and then a co-worker called me (and I hate phone calls).  So I said, probably pretty loudly, "D@mn it!"

I need to stop doing that.  It's unprofessional and certainly isn't appealing.

I also yell/vent/swear whenever someone I dislike calls me at work (as I hate phone calls) or when an obnoxious client emails me.

Any tips on how to stop yelling/venting/swearing at work when I'm stressed?

Thanks!

You need to see a therapist to change how you handle stress or you're gonna lose your job.
